Communication Training Session on New Chemical Drugs jointly organized by the Centre for Drug Evaluation, NMPA and Yangtze River Delta Centre for Drug Evaluation and Inspection of NMPA
On 26 April, a new chemical drug communication session was successfully held in Shanghai, jointly hosted by the Centre for Drug Evaluation, NMPA and the Yangtze River Delta Centre for Drug Evaluation and Inspection of NMPA. About 2000 participants, including representatives from drug regulatory authorities, pharmaceutical companies and R&D institutions, attended the meeting.
The training invited Wang Yamin, director of Department of Chemical Pharmacy and Pharmaceuticals of Center for Drug Evaluation of NMPA, and three senior reviewers, Yao Fangyao, Zhao Lei and Shi Fang, to give in-depth lectures on the requirements of pre-application pharmacy communication and exchange for clinical trials of new drugs, pre-phase III clinical trials of new drugs and pre-application pharmacy communication and exchange for marketing applications of new drugs. They cited specific cases and provided on-site answers to the confusion and common problems encountered by enterprises, as well as the pain points and difficulties in innovative drug development. Participants expressed that this training was a convenient service at the doorstep of drug research and development enterprises in the region provided by the Center for Drug Evaluation, NMPA and the Yangtze River Delta Sub-center. They said that the session was full of content and interpretation and is conducive to businesses to do a better job in the R & D and declaration of new drugs and to promote the high-quality development of the pharmaceutical industry in the Yangtze River Delta.
In the next step, the Center and the Yangtze River Delta Sub-center for Drugs will further promote the forward shift of the focus of the drug evaluation work, support the sub-center to provide pre-mature communication and exchange of guidance services for drug research and development in the region, so as to better serve the development strategy of the Yangtze River Delta region.
